REVISED 2007 PAY & CONDITIONS OFFER
 

The revised negotiated offer below has been driven by the indications given to us from the recent drivers pay and conditions survey. Open meetings have been arranged to give drivers the opportunity to ask questions and seek clarifications.
(Please see further notice for dates and locations.)

3 Year deal, next pay anniversary 7th March 2010.

Salary Increases.
1st Year (Backdated to March 2007). An increase of £1523.00 (4.35%).
Increasing a drivers salary to £36,524.00
2nd Year (March 08). An increase of 4% or RPI + 0.5% whichever the greater.
3rd Year (March 09). An increase of 3% or RPI + 0.5% whichever the greater.

Regional allowances increased by 1% above the standard pay increase in each year.
(2007 = 5.35% Increase. 2008 = minimum 5%. 2009 = minimum 4 %.)

Driver Instructor pensionable allowance £3100.00
HS1 driver pensionable allowance £3100.00
(HS1 & DI allowances paid when off sick)

Working Week.
1 hour reduction in the working week from the 2008 May/June PA.
5 additional Free Days, per 52 weeks. (Matrix line 52 = 130) from the 2008 May/June PA. (Average working week of 4.5 days)
Rosters to average 36hrs 30mins from the 2008 May/June PA.

Working Day.
Maximum working day length reduced to 9 hour 15 minutes from the 2008 May/June PA, for classic services. (Average working day = 8hrs)
Maximum working day length set at 9 hours 30 minutes for HS1 services.

Annual Leave.
Annual leave entitlement remains at 32 days per annum, based upon a 5 day working week, inclusive of bank holidays, as contained within the current agreement. Annual leave to be credited at 7hrs 12mins from 1st January 2008.

Temporarily Restricted Drivers.
From March 2008 pay anniversary, the salary reduction to 75% after 6 weeks, for temporarily restricted drivers, will be removed, and drivers will be paid full basic salary.

Lateral Transfers Within The Driver Grade.
The qualification period for the registration of clause moves reduced to 3 years for transfer between all depots. (Currently 5 years).
